Do-It-Now Coaching provides students with executive function support to get work done. After signing in, students may choose to ask for periodic help from one of the coaches with organizing, activating, prioritizing, focusing on the task at hand, maintaining energy to complete assignments, or managing the frustration and stress that sometimes come up when doing work , or they may choose to work completely on their own.
Any student who wants to get work done may use Do-It-Now Coaching. It's a great way to overcome procrastination and develop executive function skills to become a more independent and effective student.
When is Do-It-Now Coaching available? Do-It-Now Coaching is located in Hall 4, room 018.
There are several ways to sign up for Do-It-Now Coaching:
One-on-One Coaching provides individual coaching support for students who are ready to work in a focused way on developing their executive function and problem-solving skills in an academic setting. Coaches work with students to help them gain greater control over their academic performance as students develop understanding of how they work. Through a process of experimentation and practice, students develop skills and strategies that enable them to become increasingly independent and effective in creating satisfying lives at college.
Any student who is ready to commit time and energy to setting goals and engaging in a process of change
may request One-on-One Coaching. Occasionally, due to high demand for One-on-One Coaching, students experience a delay in receiving their first appointment. At those times, students are notified of the delay and are encouraged to use Do-It-Now Coaching.
